The label Noom Records was founded in 1993 near Heidelbeg (Germany) by Joachim Keil. Just from the beginning well known artists like Ramin, Oliver Lieb, Jim Clarke released the first records on the fresh label. Half a year later, Commander Tom joint the label as A&R. With the first releases from Jim Clarke (Noom 1 and 4), Superspy aka Oliver Lieb (Noom 3), Mandala (Noom 5 and 10), Nexus 6 (Noom 6), Traumatic (Noom 7), Tandú (Noom 9), Nuclear Hyde (Noom 11) Commander Tom (Noom 13) and Cores (Noom 14), Noom Records created his own sound called "Noom Sound" or "Hoversound". The releases were played everywhere in the world and in all yearly labelcharts there were at least one or two releases in the top 10 in the UK and in Germany.

In 1995, the label was a partition of the Under Cover Music Group (UCMG) beside labels like Time unlimited, VooDoo Records etc. In 1996 the label was voted "label of the year" in Germany and also reached number two in the yearly international labelcharts in the United Kingdom. Most of the releases sold more than 15.000 copies in these days. "Are Am Eye?" from Commander Tom sold more than 50.000 copies on Noom Records only. On top of this this track was licensed out worldwide to labels like Addictive (Positiva UK), News (Belgium), Blanco Y Negro (Spain), EMI (Germany) ...just to mention a view. Because of an UCMG office in the UK, the label also had domestic releases in the UK for a view years (called Noom UK).

In 2004 Daredo Music takes over the rights of the Noom Records brand. Watch out for more..... Noom Records will be back!
