Who I'd like to meet: I'm going to take this space to insert an exerpt from the amazing story Chris has been writing me throughout this deployment. I can share this part b/c it makes sense to the outside world, and it always makes me smile:
"There are many things that I remember about Meg. Some things that I remember about her make me laugh when no one is around. People ask me some times why I'm smiling to myself, I just reply with a smile and a shake of my head. No one can understand the bond that holds true across the years, miles and months apart. For this dream is not just my hell, it is only a shadow of the truth. There are other fears that manifest themselves through time. The fact that some around us may never see home. That loved ones might not still love them when they get home, that the world will view us as different. I hope and resolve to be known as the men of honor. Part of a unit that did the job they had to do, and all came home.
I have fought with the best, been in the mud under fire and smiled at the moment. I have driven to war in tracks, tanks, helicopters, and on foot. I have seen the other side of the world. I have loved with my whole heart, one woman with a ferocity and passion that few men ever understand or attain.
That is what drives me to push on. That I may not leave she that hold's me so dearly close to her heart without my shoulder to cry on and my arms to hold her close protecting against all fear..."

My summer is going good. I'm in Arizona, my boyfriend works out here. It is like 110 degrees almost everyday! I was just going through my friends list and decided to say Hey to a few people I haven't talked to in awhile, you included. Good to here everything is good with you, Talk to ya soon!!!
