It all started quite typically - some guys from school decided to start a ska-slash-punk-slash-oldschoolhardcore band.They named themselves aBasement and thought for a while it sounds pretty cool because of the word play - they used to play in a basement and abasement was such a fitting name for something/hardcore band.The vocalist decided on going to Germany and was convinced for a while that this is a really great idea.One more vocalist and a couple of shows later, aBasement ended their musical carreer.
And now we present you with the better, older and not a bit wiser ex-aBasement crew - the No Project Band.Consisting of Kalin, Iskren (Bass-a), Mariyan (Merkata), Kiro (Effekta) and Eli, NPB tries to expand the ska scene in Bulgaria and also expand their own musical skills by playing ska/punk and something in between.Currently we are thinking of getting some songs together for a demo, which should be available on our myspace-page and wherever we find a place on the internet (yes,we are all about D.I.Y.).
As for now, we have gathered some lyrical and musical materials that really fit together, we just have to find the time to glue them into good old ska/punk songs.Mostly we sing about political and religious issues Kalin wrote about, some funny songs about girls, and Merkata currently writes about how fun it is to be unemployed.He also writes about the joy of getting/being drunk.Basically, we cover all the Ska-themes a band should sing and play about...
That's it for starters, in a couple of months there should be a demo, definitely some songs on myspace with better quality and hopefully some touring across...well,wherever we're invited to.

Yes, that was german.And it was probably the last german sentence the vocal of the NPB is going to say or write in his life.Oficially as of October 1st, Merkata is in Bulgaria, permanently.He still enjoys drinking almost anything and hasn't left the awkward habit of writing songs at toilets.The band still won't let him play the guitar.Expect more songs about beer and unemployment, some shows (definetely some shows...I mean, when the hell did we actually had a show...what's up with that?).So cheers and greets and expect musical stuff from us...anytime now.
Yes - another language, only greek this time.It seems that the members of the NPB just can't stick in the same country for a longer than a casual "radical beer drinking month"-period.Sadly so - our formerly Jesus-lookalike-contest award winner (he cut the hair though, so he's ok now). has went to greece to study...something about marketing, I guess.He should be back in january, before that expect hopefully some new solos from him and pictures of ouzo-drinking(again, performed by him).We should be able to play without our main guitar guy, though as of now we sound a little like a drunk Lionel Richie playing a viola.Tough luck for people awaiting a concert from us (again, what the hell...is it like a non-touring band or something?).But seriously, we're working on some new stuff and we hope to please our audience (shoutouts to those 5-6 fans of ours).Cheers!!!

Yes, that was a sign of joy.Our greek 6-string Zeus has came down from the mountain, returning promptly to his old nest of guitar solos,beer songs,drinking on benches in the center of town...We had a rehearsal with some disturbing results, but it's a good basis to build upon.Or maybe not and this is everything we're capable of.Regardless of the sad fact the latter might be more true, we're going to rehearse some more and provide you with more material soon.More new unreleased songs, so new, even some guys of the band don't know about them, more videos, more pictures.It's going to be an intensive multimedia experience, just like watching Jeff Bridges movies.Enjoy!!
Totally!After a while of slacking off and cutting low and back and whatever, we are now seriously in the business - new material,new embarassing video clips to be uploaded,new everything!If you haven't red the blog,a lobotomy-like drinking experience has caused me to update this thing with recent stuff and complain about life in general.I had forgotten how much fun this is.Be patient as new videos and songs will be uploaded these days and they are going to be - wait for it - exactly as bad as all the other stuff you've heard from us.I can barely wait.Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!

2-ри ноември, София - тройна промоция за една родна и две френски хардкор групи ------------------------------
2-ри ноември ще е голяма дата за българския хардкор - две френски групи ще гостуват в софийския клуб "The Box" (бул. "Александър Стамболийски" 41, на 100 м. от Света Неделя), за да представят чисто новите си албуми. Всъщност Fire at Will и Nine Eleven са първите френски хардкор групи, които ще посетят страната ни, въпреки вече 20-годишната история на тази сцена в България и визитите на банди от почти цял свят. С тях на една сцена ще свирят и пловдивчаните от Резервен план, които пък в момента финализират своя втори EP диск и ще го издадат именно на 2-ри ноември. Заглавието му е "Нека горят" и ще съдържа шест парчета, едно от които кавър на Gorilla Biscuits.
Без да се увличаме около историите на съставите те пращаме директно към техните myspace профили, за да ги чуеш, защото самите те са такива - бързи и без каквито и да било уводи - кратки и яростни песни с много хорове:
Ударен хардкор пънк от старата школа, който задължително трябва да бъде чут на живо! Ще бъде промотирана и хардкор компилацията "Compassion against cruelty" в защита правата на животните. Представяните дискове ще могат да бъдат намерени на място в клуба. Освен това след този концерт HC Spirit ще организират подобни изяви на живо вече доста по-рядко.
Началото ще бъде дадено в 20:00 часа, а входът отново е сведен до минимум за две чужди банди и една от Пловдив - 7 лева.

Преди няколко години във вече добилия статут на легендарен клуб "О!Шипка" свири една френска ска/пънк група. Тогава все още такива концерти бяха абсолютна рядкост, клубът се претъпка, а бандата беше P.O. Box. Те все още продължават да са си P.O. Box, но вече още по-добри и много, много по-популярни. От тогава успяха да подпишат договор с един от най-големите ска лейбъли в света - Long Beach и да изкарат още един албум. Междувременно за пореден път обиколиха цяла Европа, както и покориха още два континента. Стига толкова уводни думи, защото P.O. Box се завръщат в България на 14-ти юли. Мястото ще е клуб "Backstage", а от вас зависи дали концертът ще наподобява предишния като атмосфера и дали изобщо тази практика ще продължи да съществува.
Съвсем скоро стана ясно, че с французите P.O. Box отново ще свирят La Muchedumbre. Голямата новина обаче е, че ексклузивно с тях ще се появи и оригиналният им фронтмен – Чефо Машината, с който записаха първия си албум и който се връща за кратко от Перу.
