I'm using the influences area to post info for poetry related readings and competitions here in Vancouver.
Of coure of course, there's the Vancouver Poetry Slam, with the standard slam format every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Monday of the month. And! starting in January, there will be an alternative/themed slam every 2nd Monday, and a youth slam every 4th Monday.
All at Cafe Deux Soleils, 2096 Commercial Drive (5th and Commercial), generally starting about 8.30 or 9.
The Spillious Speak N Sing…the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Cottage Bistro (Main and 29th).
The Main Street Slam….the last Tuesday of each month at the Cottage Bistro ( Main and 29th)
Thundering Word…the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month at Café Montmartre (Main and 27th.)
The Vancouver Story Slam…the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. Cafe Deux Soleils @ 5th and Commercial Dr.

That is definately not my Brother... he's my bro, as in "bro's before hoe's" type of way (even though I'd probably ditch his ass for a girl, and I'd hope he'd do the same)... my little brother is the first dude on my top friends. Because he's sweet!
