Nordawn is a one-man epic Slavic folk metal project from Canada. The music contains folk, black, and death metal influences and seeks to create an atmospheric and epic feel. Having sprung to life in March 2007, Nordawn seeks to glorify the undying spirit of the European ancestral past and the remorseless magnificence of northern nature. Nordawn is driven by strong religious and political beliefs, yet does not associate itself with any particular organized religion or political party/movement that exist or have existed, and ought not to be judged by the prejudices of others. Songs are written in English and in Russian.
