What I’m talking about here is a process I developed of total health and fitness that includes physical, mental and physical aspects. I call it MIND OVER BODY. The biggest secret I’ve learned and the reason most people don’t succeed in getting fit, losing weight or even achieving a happy contented life (and remember I’ve trained thousands) is that these people try to start from the outside-in (ego-thought causing certain behavioral patterns) rather than from the inside out (soul-energy).
You see total health involves your mental, emotional, and spiritual health as well as your physical health. In fact scientists today are discovering that your mental, emotional and spiritual health is just as important and maybe even more important than your physical health. I like to say that your body shows what your soul already knows by tapping into its great soul-energy. Moreover scientists are linking diseases like obesity, cancer, depression, arthritis, heart disease adult diabetes, and other ailments to emotional and spiritual health not just physical health. In other words people could workout and eat right and still get cancer or some other diseases.
So I developed a total health and fitness system called MIND OVER BODYthat addresses the complete person…the whole person…your complete being …mind, body and soul.
The MIND OVER BODY system starts with centering and embracing the self – who you really are…how you feel…your attitude…your emotions…your outlook. We all know very fit people who get sick with a certain disease or another or are unhappy, negative or depressed or even lacking direction or purpose in their life. Well you could spend a lifetime working out and still not be healthy or happy…because inner health and fitness is often neglected. MIND OVER BODY prevents this by addressing both you inner and outer health at the same time.
You know scientists have discovered that inner strength can be more important than outer strength. Have you ever notice today we’ve got lots of woman and average size people honorably serving as police officers. Years ago, remember you couldn’t get on the police force unless you were 7’ tall but what they discovered about fitness and fighting is that it’s more about attitude (inner strength) than our actual size or physical ability (outer strength). That’s why anybody can get on the police force today and you no longer have to be 7’ tall.
In the military they discovered the same thing. In fact the military now says its not the size of the soldier in the fight it’s the size of the fight inside the soldier…its her inner fitness that’s more important than her outer fitness!
