With the passion of a an actor starring in his first major role, Nordin Hildegard, uses his music to reveal both an intensity of raw emotion, and a touching sensitivity that teeters delicately throughout his lyrics. Raised by a German mother and an Algerian father, the artist certainly isn’t playing around with a love of music that has followed him since childhood. And yet, whether incisive or romantic, his performances touch his audiences as much through their humor as through their tempered sobriety and as much through their vulnerability as through their power. The richness of his talents, both vocal and instrumental, as well as his strong character, have earned him the recognition of his peers. He has participated in and won several competitions, notably La Nuit des stars on RTL9, and he is often solicited to write songs for other singers, especially as he is at home not only in his native language, but in English, Spanish and German.
Having explored many forms of varieté française, currently, Hildegard is focusing on going back to the essentials: a man and his guitar, purifying his sounds and raising his voice in a hymn to life.
