We are No Regrets. We are No Regrets. We are a progressive and original rock and roll band based out of the Tri-Cities area of Michigan. We have played together over five years now. Our objective from the start was to create our own music…to bypass the cover scene and let our music speak for itself. Though we do draw on a nice range of covers, our emphasis has always been writing our own material…To draw fans with a new original sound…We seem to have succeeded in this effort.
We released the “Katrina Tales” CD in January of 2007. It has had many favorable reviews and is catching headlines down south in the Gulf Coast area and in New York City.
The “Katrina Tales” music was written to be included with the DVD accompanying Cary’s book about Katrina called: “Tales of Katrina: A Freight Train Screamin’”.
No Regrets released our second CD, “It Is What It Is!!!” in June of 2008. We needed a break from the Katrina project and thus recorded our “non- Katrina” music. We very much enjoyed the process and came up with some fine tunes.
The original music on “Katrina Tales” was recorded at The White Crow Music Conservatory of Saginaw, MI, under the awesome direction of Ziggy Zeitler. Later, after we equipped our own 24 track studio, we recorded and added The Katrina Suite, and Backwater Blues to the “Katrina Tales” music and released a full length CD entitled, “Tales of Katrina: Out of the Storms” in August of 2008. A percentage of sales from the “Out of the Storms” CD is donated to the Community Center St. Bernard in Arabi, LA.
We are considering invitations to play our music in clubs on Bourbon and Frenchman’s Street in New Orleans as well as several venues in New York City this summer…We are working out the logistics. Likely the New Orleans events will coincide with Cary’s “Katrina: A Freight Train Screamin’” book release party.
In February, our drummer Nate moved to India to study music with some Indian tabla masters…We went through several drummers and settled on Scott Thomas, who proceeded to break his wrist the day after his audition. While Scott recovered, our friend Mike Richards, from “Southern Breeze” stepped up to get us through our Spring-time performances. Meanwhile, Mike Skimson became a new member adding his acoustic guitar, keyboard, and vocal talents to the line-up.
Now that we are through our Spring performances, we will be focusing on getting Scott up to snuff on the drums, and likely begin recording our fourth CD of original material. It appears we will be playing out a bit more this summer as well…so check in now and then for our performance schedule!
I am honored to play with this group of musicians who have remained true to their musical roots and desire to stand out with their own sound. We do enjoy playing covers and will almost always put a bit of “No Regrets” slant into them…I guess that’s just what we do. Our fan base in the tri-Cities, the US and Europe is amazing, dedicated and passionate for this goofy little original rock garage-band out of Midland and we thank all of you for your continued support. You all rock!
Give us a listen…We play the unique and original “No Regrets” style of music…and we rock with an energy that spans generations!
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
