I have a wide variety of musical interests. I love ballroom dancing and salsa. And send me to the Kenny Chesney concert!! I have recently discovered that I love the spanish guitar. I will always have a heart for the 70's music. And Celtic music soothes my soul.
A few of my favorites in no particular order: Harry Connick, Jr., The Nevilles, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, The Eagles, Frank Sinatra, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, . . .
Movies
While You Were Sleeping, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty Woman, The Notebook, Let's Give'em Something to Talk About, My Best Friend's Wedding, You've Got Mail, RainMan, Miss Congeniality, Michael, Phenomenon, The Net, The Goodbye Girl, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Narnia and all the Disney classics - just to name a few
Not much there. Just the weather channel, discovery channel and crime stories.
Books
The Bible. I love to read all kinds of books, but God's word is the only one that counts.
Heroes
Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have.
-RONALD REAGAN
To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will.
- RONALD REAGAN
40th president of great United States of America (1911 - 2004)
If this doesn't make you want to fight the takeover of America, nothing will. I am very afraid that the Constitution is headed for the White House garbage. We cannot let this happen.
PLEASE WAKE UP AND MAKE SOME NOISE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!
My oldest daughter is happily married and a stay at home Mom to my two wonderful grandchildren who I adore. She does bookkeeping for a few small companies during the day when my grandbabies are in school. My son-in-law is a great guy, responsible and hard working, who loves my daughter and their children. What more could a mom want for her daughters?
My middle daughter is working full time at University of Phoenix doing administrative tasks. She is also going to college and plans to do marketing when she completes school. She lost everything in Hurricane Katrina and is trying to still in the process of rebuilding her life.
These two daughters are on Dance Connection and love to be marching in the parades. They get their exercise and girl time practicing year round for this dance team.
All three of my daughters are beautiful and smart and I am a very proud mom and grandmother.
My granddaughter is beautiful 8 year old with brown hair, shining brown eyes, and a happy smile on her face. She is a girl scout and has been in dancing school for 5 years. She is my precious angel! We love to play fashion games together on the computer and love to shop.
My grandson is a big bruiser at the ripe old age of 7, but he is a sweetie. He has a soft heart and loves babies! He plays football and baseball. But his favorite thing in the world is his video games! He amazes me with his abilities in this area but I guess its the generation. He's my buddy!!!
I've been married for 30 years to my honey. We renewed our vows this year with a full ceremony and reception following. It was one of the best things I have ever done. My grandchildren stood as my maid of honor and Rickey's best man. We are learning to enjoy life a little more and working a little less since our girls are "grown".
My husband and I are part of the "Tea Party" movement. My hope is that we will be enough people to make enough noise that we can start returning some of the "stupid" laws back to the common sense laws that follow the Constitution. I would ask that each of you get familiar with this great gift of our extremely intelligent forefathers. Go watch the DVD series that goes with the book "The 5000 Year Leap". If you can't find someone in your area showing the DVD series, then buy it! It is worth every dime. Try to get everyone you know to watch this series. It will change your life.
I'm a New Orleanian and have lived here all my life. Even if I leave someday, it will always be in my soul. I am worried about New Orleans future and really don't know whether the city will have a "rebirth" or if Katrina dealt us a blow that we cannot recover from. 4 years later we are still struggling to return to the city we once were.
Love my LSU TIGERS - Death Valley is the place to be! 2008 BCS Champions!
I'm a kid at heart and crave attention and affection. I never get enough of either. I collect Disney and Thomas Kinkade, I love Betty Boop, Tinkerbell, Tigger and the LSU Tigers. I pull for the Colts and the Giants because I think Peyton and Eli Manning are two of the best "home boys" around. You did it Peyton, Superbowl Champ and MVP 2007! And now Eli, Superbowl Champ and MVP 2008! Way to go boys- you make us all proud!
I love Harry Connick, Jr. and own most of his CDs. I listen to country music because I believe it is closer to who I am than any other music. I love the music played at New Orleans festivities, especially Aaron Neville. I also enjoy the sounds of the river so close to home, Beignets, Southern Hospitality, drive thru Daiquiri shops, Doberge cake, a walk down Bourbon Street and a good crawfish boil.
My heroes have always been cowboys - now they wear combat boots! I'm here to make friends, share experiences and support our troops.
Check out my new show ‘Cory’s Corner 28: Guess Who’s Back?” where I make my return to Chimpsy Radio after a short break. We’ll be discussing the Ft. Hood shootings, the “vote them all out” protestors, the economy, the elections and what it means for both democrats and republicans, as well as a look into the race between Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist in Florida.
Thanks for supporting our Troops! I appreciate it and I know our Troops appreciate it.
If you would like to help us thank those still serving overseas and help those coming home wounded, please stop by the profile, read the latest blog and do what you can.
