Okay, due to the wierdness of life, we've had to create a new page strictly for the norm stuff. No, we don't use the name anymore and we don't normally do acoustic shows either. Sure, Luke and I still play together and on occaision we do that alone. But we've evolved. Not broken up and gotten together, just changed. This page is to direct all of you who aren't aware of that fact or who miss the 'old sound.' Our 'new sound' can be found here along with all updated gigs and news.
So I guess i should tell you what happened. Well, it was time to grow. The songs in my head were getting louder, stronger, and needed different instruments. Old songs began feeling ill fit, like a child wearing last years winter coat, and they sounded suffocated. More change was in order. Well, change isn't easy for anyone...
Luke began playing electric with Electric Soul Method and, albeit slowly, that sound and energy began to seep into his playing as well. With a growing gig load Norm was feeling the strain and many gigs were pared down or even cut out. Now, I L-O-V-E ESM. One of my top 3 to be sure. I will never think badly of that time where I was turning down playing somewhere because Luke had a previous engagement with that band. I was just as happy to dance to them as I was to play myself. That's how much i loved them.
Jeremiah moved on as well. After getting offered a job at The Chatterbox as manager his quick like a bunny brain was hopping within seconds. Bursting with ideas he has turned that bar from the oft quipped "Ghetto-box" to Lincoln's number one venue for metal bands. Also a favorite of any musician wanting to play and be treated with respect and kindness, as well as getting paid fairly. He has built a permanent stage, added booths, actually put the pool table in the right place, and even added an old school Nintendo (which Luke constantly geeks out on). We couldn't be more proud of the direction his life has taken and what he's done with it.
Well I think I've taken care of most of the stupid rumors and hopefully put a few fears to rest. If you'd like to write, comment, be our friend, fine. We'd love that. We're glad you all remember our first real band and remember that time just as fondly as we do...
