M:SOUNDTRACK presents at SCHOKOLADEN: THURSDAY 22. Oktober @ 9 p.m. :: LIKE A STUNTMAN (HH) + BJOERN KLEINHENZ (Swe) + KID IKARUS (Bln) ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LIKE A STUNTMAN : "Their Music is equal parts the Notwist and Animal Collective, pulsing with rhythmic energy and bursting with overlapping vocals" - Pitchfork Check out their new album "Original Bedouin Culture" tonight! BJOERN KLEINHENZ lives on a desert island. He sits in a very small room recording very small songs. He stomps his big foot in the chalky Faro ground and listens carefully. He claims nowadays to be a mountain. Bjoern is also a young man with big thoughts with just as beautiful words, he could have been born somewhere across the ocean in the middle of a desert, but i think any where this gentleman lands and hangs his hat he will make his own island and find a way to create great things. KID IKARUS_with punkrock in his heart, love of experiments in the head and a precocious diletantism in the fingertips Kid Ikarus makes... living room beats with landscape bleeps on sound storage media ending in an entertaining lo-fi mess with charasmatic live shows. In one moment songstructures hailing from a posthard core background meet one-man-show-poppycock, and the next instrumental jewels meet electronic puppet theater. It's all about the mixture of handicrafts, driving beats, ticklish synth melodies and a dash of coincidence. Needless to say Mister Ikarus is a storyteller with a monster truck humor and dancestep to boot.

M:SOUNDTRACK presents: THURSDAY, 20. August @ 9 p.m. in Schokoladen :: Lars Ludvig Löfgren (Swe) + Shiver Like Timber (Oz) + Dj Melody Burn vs. Jan Christian..yeah its a dance party! LARS LÖFGRENS songs are hopeful and dreamy, but it has that underlying sense of reality to it. His blog does the trick: “Soul is something that you feel from within, and you do it spontaneously. It’s not something that you learn to do, and it’s not something that you read and you do it. You have to have a natural feeling for it.” It’s good to see music like this coming out of a place like Karlstad. I visited in March – it’s a tiny town where nobody works but nobody does much else. They ride their bikes around and wait for the sunny weather. Jessica- Roundletters blog LISTEN: www.myspace.com/larsludviglofgren

M:SOUNDTRACK presents: THURSDAY the 9th of JULI @ 9 p.m. ::: GRAY BIRD (Bln) + SORRY GILBERTO (Bln) + COMBINE HARVESTER (CH) + Dj’s Melody Burn vs. Tanz Wurst
GRAY BIRD when it's good, play it slower when it's slow, play it half as fast Boris Hauf: Organ, Vocals * Rico Repotente: Guitar, Vocals * Derek Shirley: Bass * Steve Heather: Drums, Vocals :: LISTEN: http://hauf.klingt.org/graybird
SORRY GILBERTO like melodies you can hum along to by yourself, inbetween places, in the an afternoon. its all about the weather, big cities and small towns and especially about the people, running around, trying to get a grip on something (or maybe on each other) these songs are shortmovies. somebody has lost the storyboard in the rain, so you can concentrate on faces, sudden movements and the strange guy in the back. if you are into instruments, give a hand to the lazy guitars, the squeeky organs, the swinging basslines, the stoic beats of the rodeo and the little casio. there are voices too. singing about things you already know. LISTEN: www.myspace.com/sorrygilberto
COMBINEHARVESTER is Marlon Mc Neill. „I write all songs and usually play all instruments. I don‘t see my songs as rock songs in the traditional sense, more like music and sounds wrapped around little poems. Poems that may be as short as one line. One does not need many words to say what has to be said. One may see Combineharvester as a melting pot of all or some projects I‘m involved in, or the other way round: the source and inspiration to participate in all kinds of musical oddities.»
