   About Norman Records Mail Order
10 years hard labour has put young Norman as the peoples favourite for mail order music. Supporting new and up and coming music we aim to promote as much good music as humanly possible within the time limits we have each week. We cover fringe music from most genres (indie, electronic, experimental, hip hop, folk, post rock etc....) and we write our own reviews on our web site. We deal directly with bands and labels as well as UK distributors. Check out our web site for more info like! Also we run a label which we've pretty much wound down now but the world still needs to hear Sierpinski so here's a couple of tracks from the 2 albums we released. For more info you can check the Jonathon Whiskey page on our site!

thanks for recommending this one a couple of weeks ago!

morc 52 - The puddle parade: origami
The Puddle Parade - origami

a surprising CD by a German musician living in Utrecht, containing 35 minutes of very minimal, hissy and adventurous popsongs. Her influences range from experimental analogue electronics to mid-nineties lo-fi, with melodic sound-sketches put together as an audio-notebook. For fans of f.i. Colleen, Lau Nau, Mt. Eerie, Vollmar, Iditarod, Machinefabriek, Tara Jane O'Neil, or anything on Morc Records really.

...we went from Djerba (Tunis) to the snowy mountains of north-eastern Italy. We travelled from the desert to the deep freeze of the north during the last days of 2008, listening to music and collecting a huge amount of images. Here you are the final cut.

Hello. Sorry if this looks like spam.

Having released a couple of tuneful albums with theAudiologist and Soni Jimm since my last LP, "Fear of Mathematics", Section 27 Netlabel brings you "Wrpdata”, containing 14 tracks full of chunky, breathy and some would even say pleasantly broken breaks, some good-time-mind-fuck glitch, a few (thankfully blissful) orchestrated mixes featuring the talents of Pinklogik and theAudiologist (also acting as co-producer on this release) respectively, and ends sweetly with some beautiful spoken word poetry by the lovely aussie Cindel Waddington.

A delight on the sensory organs from start to finish, "Wrpdata" is available now for *free* download. Licensed by Creative Commons.

Have some.

Svarte Greiner (Deaf Center/Miasmah/Type) explores deep into a dark, mysterious and disturbing universe. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Earth, Volcano the Bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the music is draped in Lynchian mysticism and horror film cinematics. "The music of Svarte Greiner is practically perfect. It's like that sound in our heads we've been imagining for ages but had never actually heard." - Type Records.

The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri/Miasmah/Immune) draws as much on modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. His album Glider has appeared on Thom Yorke's radar in making the Radiohead's lynchpin's top ten playlist.

His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon Scott (former Slowdive) is set to be a household name in conceptual music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise, producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.

Dear friend
We are so happy to announce

NEW ALBUM IS OUT NOW!!!

Our new album "Herbarium" is out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).

Diverse palette of styles (post-rock, ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub, neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly pensive mood.

«Herbarium» is called so because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here, only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river, contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so on.

All compositions are united by Poostosh sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental. There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let your soul look over our HERBARIUM.

"All drugs of any interest to any moderately intelligent person in America
are now illegal."

Thomas Szasz

the argument goes something like this...

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God,

"for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it?

It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that you exist, and so therefore,

by your own arguments, you don't. Q.E.D."

"Oh dear," says God,

I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes

in a puff of logic.

well, I guess that about wraps it up for God...
