About me:

I am a magazine editor/journalist/tastemaker/model/music lover/individual based in LA. I have basically shaped my life to write about music I love, events that I would probably already go to, and travel experiences. I have been given the gift of language and words and I choose to use it to help struggling or up n' coming underground talent get to the next level. I started my own personal blog to journal my experiences as a travel writer and a music journalist. If you are interested in me or you are interested in pursuing this line of work it's worth checking out! Norman the Nomad blog..

I am also the creator of Nu-Soul Magazine. This is my online magazine where I am covering the future of soul music expressed through exciting genres like drum and bass, neo-soul, deep house and breaks. I have featured artists such as Angie Stone, Amel Larrieux, Res, Sa-Ra, Vikter Duplaix, Lisa Shaw, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, and Chrisette Michele to name a few. Please check it out. We Have a myspace page too so look at my top friends!

I also write article for BLEU Magazine. I am also a model that has worked on a variety of cool projects with some pretty amazing photographers including Gregory Prescott, Kurt R. Brown, Tim Ricks, Justin Monroe, Ed Freeman, and a few others. Check out my photos for all my shots!

As far as my personality goes I am a fun person with a unique sense of style.

Raver/junglist/island boy/dreadhead/vintage soul/neosoul/intellectual/spiritual/gymwhore/sex freak/bedroom Dj/film buff/music lover.

I have lived in New York, Barbados, Miami, and Atlanta, before moving to LA. I plan on staying here for a while.

Who I'd like to meet:

I am interested in meeting other music lovers and writers. Cool people with more than one dimension. Those who like to build their bodies and minds as well as their spirits. People with creative energy to burn. Drum and bass heads. Florida breaks lovers. Old skool ravers. Dread heads. Neo-soul listeners. Horror movie fans. Oh yeah don't ask me how big it is or anything like that. You ain't getting none anyway! I am open to all who want to know me but I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SEX. Just come at me real and let's keep this a positive experience.

PR reps looking for press for their clients feel free to hit me up. If I am feeling your artist I will see what I can do. Upcoming artists trying to get press, make sure you have a press release or a physical CD that can be passed around to an editor. I am here to help artists with my words but you have to come professionally or prepare to get dismissed.

DO HIT ME UP IF - You are intelligent, creative and know how to engage in thoughtful conversation.
PLEASE - Have more to say than "How are you" or "What's up" That is just lame!
PLEASE DON'T - Send me your phone number after sending me one email. I am not going to call.
DON'T - IM me if I don't know you. Please just send an email. I will definitely get back to you.

Oh yeah I don't add anyone under 18.
