For our out of town guests-
Need a place to stay when traveling to the show? Several hotels are within a short distance of the festival. Here's a list, courtesy of the Cullman Chamber of Commerce. Would you prefer to camp? The Chamber of Commerce lists one campground on their page. (The first one listed is a Soil and Water Conservation department Youth Camp- sorry!) There are also two Cullman County parks with camping facilities- Sportsman's Lake Park, which is about one and a half miles north of the venue, is the closest, with a limited number of camping spaces; and Smith lake Park, about seven miles from the festival, has a much larger number of varied camping options..
Don't worry about food...
If you get hungry early in the day, there are several restaurants and fast food places within walking distance or a short drive. For supper we hope you will continue to support Daystar House by buying one of the delicious hamburgers or locally made all-beef hot dogs that will be cooked on the festival grounds. No need to miss any music, just stick around and eat at the Festhalle. Soft drinks and water will be available all day long. All the proceeds from food and refreshments will go to Daystar. Many thanks to the donors and volunteers who helped make this possible.
About the venue...
The festival will be held at a new facilty in Cullman, the Festhalle Market Platz. Built primarily to house a farmer's market, the building is available for public use during non-market hours. This spacious open air facility is the largest timber framed structure in the state of Alabama.

North Alabama Folk Festival's Friend Space (Top 11)
A great day it was for a first time event! I enjoyed the new friends I met there, and reconnecting with those I've gotten to know at Berkeley Bob's. I'll be rooting for next year's event, and hope to be invited again. Thanks so much--and keep it up.
Thanks for the add! Initiation for being a friend of the fest is posting your favorite fest memory as a comment on the fest page. Don't be shy, and don't feel like you need to censor yourself!
