BIO
In the early 21st century, Northbound was formed with the intention to create beautiful, soulful instrumental music with a homegrown feel. After a few years in the university of trial and error their music began to find its shape, in a colourful style that some people refer to as combination of trip hop, downtempo, jazz and folkish acoustic pop. Their first and so far only release is an EP of six songs, titled "Landscapes of Late". The EP has received a very positive response, and their songs have since then been heard on few (mainly finnish) radio stations, compilations, some tv-shows and on the soundtrack of various snowboarding films.
After the EP-release, vocalist Venla has joined forces with the original duo. As a result, on the forthcoming album the instrumentals will be accompanied with some vocal tracks. The album has been in the works for some time now, and should be ready in a couple of months. The album picks up where the EP left off, providing a slightly wider variety of styles, and also a couple of very interesting quests. So stay tuned for that!

This is a piece based on my own recordings of the enviroment.
In this perfotrmance multi - instrumentalist Jone Takamäki plays around 10 different
instruments including shakuhachi , bass clarinet and various saxophones , flutes and percussions.
After playing records for 32 years , this is the first time I play using only my own recordings.
Jone Takamäki is a longway musician/actor who play in groups such as Edward Vesala Sound anf Fury , Krakatau . Otna Eahket and improvisation group Särjen Äänet.
