Popular Northeast Wrestling champion Jason Blade defended his title against "The Lebanese Prince" Jalil Salaam. Salaam had promised to win the belt, but Blade proved his mettle this night. Jason's quickness, high-flying moves, and pure determination proved too much for Jalil to overcome. To the delight of the fans, Jason Blade defeated Salaam and retained the NEW championship belt.
In the main event, former WWE heavyweight Snitsky took on Memphis wrestling legend Jerry "The King" Lawler. Snitsky towered over "The King" and tossed Jerry around the ring several times in the opening minutes of the bout. Lawler favored his back, but he refused to quit. Snitsky bodyslammed Lawler hard to the mat. Lawler tried to bodyslam Snitsky, but Snitsky blocked Lawler's attempt to take him off his feet. The veteran Lawler eventually sent Snitsky crashing to the mat after a dropkick. Lawler also managed to bodyslam an off-balance Snitsky. Snitsky then resorted to bending and outright breaking of the rules. This proved to be his undoing in the match. Late in the bout, Snitsky and the referee argued - which allowed Lawler an opportunity to surprise him with a quick rollup. The referee counted to three, and the winner of the bout was Jerry "The King" Lawler! Despite Snitsky's protests after the match, Lawler walked back to the locker room with his hand raised in victory.
The wild match between Ron Zombie and Crowbar took its toll on both men, especially when a table and chairs came into play. Both wrestlers used chairs to beat each other senseless. Then Zombie threw Crowbar over the top rope, and the former WCW star went crashing through a table which was outside the ring. Although Crowbar was obviously hurt from the impact, he somehow made his way back into the ring. Crowbar continued to fight, but he could not put his larger opponent away. Zombie won this hard-hitting match, and Crowbar offered his congratulations after the match.
Romeo Roselli was out next. He issued an open challenge to anyone. A game Matt Taven answered the challenge, but Romeo overpowered the less experienced Taven and scored a convincing win. Romeo then grabbed the microphone and continued to challenge anyone from the locker room. Mike Bennett was next to accept Romeo's challenge, but he also was no match for the Westchester County native. Romeo probably should have quit at that point, but he continued to challenge anyone from the locker room. To Romeo's surprise, Big Daddy V emerged from the back to take him on. Big Daddy V used his size and strength advantage to send Romeo crashing to the mat several times. It looked like Big Daddy V was on his way to a big win, but Big Daddy missed a splash - crashing hard to the mat. Romeo used a "ground and pound" attack to gain the advantage, but in the end, it wasn't enough. Big Daddy V came back and scored the win over Romeo.
Northeast Wrestling's "March Mayhem" tour made its first stop in Suffern, NY on Saturday, March 14 a successful one as approximately 2000 fans or more attended this big card of wrestling.
Suffern's own Scotty Charisma and former WWE/ECW star Nunzio scored a very popular win over the team of "The Platinum Poppa" Rob Eckos and Kurt Adonis.
TNA knockout Velvet Sky returned to Northeast Wrestling, scoring a win over Luscious Latasha. Despite Latasha's repeated efforts to break the rules, Velvet Sky came back and defeated her opponent.
WWE and UWF legend "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan marched to the ring with his trademark 2X4 and American flag, where he met Bethel, CT native Brian Anthony. Anthony's bad attitude in NEW has been evident in recent months - and this night was no exception. Anthony blatantly broke the rules throughout the bout and tried to wear his larger and more popular opponent down, but "Hacksaw" would have none of it. The fans at the Suffern High School rallied behind Duggan, who came back and scored the pin over Anthony.
Ron Zombie squared off against Crowbar in the fourth match. This match was wild and out of control from the opening bell. Both men landed some hard blows. It went back and forth with Crowbar pounding on Zombie, but Zombie managed to come back and put a hurtin' on Crowbar as well.
