A million Dollar Disco production
Simon Lee is one half of Faze Action (the other half is his brother Robin), the guys who unwittingly created a genre with the release of their tracks "Original Disco Motion" and "In The Trees" on Nuphonic back in 1995... The term "Nu Disco" was coined to describe Faze Action's sound! In 1996, they released their debut album "Plans and Designs" which clearly showed the brothers' love for the disco sound and paid homage to pioneering New York DJs. Since then they've toured the world with a live show, released a further two albums, a million singles and remixes, and set up a their own label. Simon's the DJ, has been collecting records since he was 14 and his first love is disco. We're looking forward to hearing some of those records when he shares them with the Northern Disco dancefloor soon!
Al Kent has been playing at Northern Disco for well over a year now, where his re-edits always hit the spot with the crowd. He's been busy since we last heard him; releasing an EP on Kat Records, remixing Swag's "Musicbox", and a couple of previously unissued original disco cuts, compiling the soon-to-be-released Brown Brothers CD, recording new Secret Sounds material, writing the new Million Dollar Orchestra set and DJing here and there. And obviously buying, and re-editing, records. You'll hear them in November!

He pretty much taught us what he was doing". says Frankie Knuckles We're doing another Love Fever Party on November 7th... This time we've got NYC Legend Nicky Siano over for a proper disco session. We'll be putting our usual Love Fever attention to detail into the sound system, decor, staff, artwork, balloons, roller girls, projections, etc. And music wise we're got a Funktion One system and two rooms of underground disco new and old. FINALLY!!! The live video of Mr. Confuse & The Confusers playing at the Mephisto Club in Hannover Germany on 27th September 2008 is ready. It was the album release concert of the Mr. Confuse album “Feel The Fire” released on Légère Recordings as DLP, CD and digital in September 2008.

From classics to obscurities, we are going to keep the vinyl burning all night at this NYC edition of Sound Of Gold.
Jason's Bio:
Considered a leading authority on obscure disco/R&B 12 inches and 45's from the mid 70's to early 80's, Jason Lev has been involved in the dj/collector community for 15 years.
Since 1999 while residing in Vancouver, Lev has released the much acclaimed SOUND OF GOLD mix series which have earned him respect from dj's and audiences alike. He has also released the very sought after limited release Truth is Light edit label as well collaborated with Jazzanova's Sonar Kollectiv to reissue his own digging discoveries with new edits and remixes. A master programer and intensely passionate when playing, Lev's dj sets are can take you from one genre in one decade to another genre of a different decade and then back again. Innovative live black music for the most discerning listeners and dancers.
