In the summer of 2003, Troy Millhoupt, Steve Turner, and Jacob Bonham
never imagined that they would stay in the band they were referring to
as "Northern Lights" for over a half decade. To say the least, these northern Indiana
boys have come a long way from their humble roots as a garage/local
band. Their latest EP, "Finding Consciousness," was produced by Marc
McClusky who has worked with Ludo (Island/Def Jam), Powerspace (Fueled
by Ramen), June (Victory), and Hit the Lights (Triple Crown) to name a
few. Moreover, the catchy lyrics and straightforward pop rock style of
Northern Lights has landed them airplay at several notable college
radio stations and rock radio stations in the Chicagoland and northern Indiana regions.
The future is bright for these lads. With college degrees under their belts, and straight up passion, it appears now that nothing will keep Northern Lights from achieving success on a national level.
