Northern Point began in June 2005 after singer/songwriter Chuck Clough and guitarist Shawn Murphy first met and began writing together. They were soon after joined by drummer/percussionist Richard Lee, an accomplished drummer who has toured in support of multiple artists and styles of music, who rounded out Northern Point's impressive organic, acoustic sound.
They quickly began rehearsing originals and covers ranging from artists like Pink Floyd and R.E.M to David Gray and Pete Yorn. These influences shine through to Northern Point's growing repertoire of originals. The three took to the stage with ease and continue to win over fans at each stop along the way.
November is their first studio album. Their goal was to capture their live performance vibe while adding a dynamic that only a studio recording can help you experience. The songs were recorded the way they were written - simply - with a clean and honest representation of their acoustic sound.
