Formed in Copenhagen July 2007, Northern Portrait is a band dedicated to sophisticated guitar based pop music with a musical and lyrical edge, that speaks to both the heart, body and mind.
Northern Portrait wants to invite anybody interested to listen and comment.
Less than two months after being established as a band, Northern Portrait joined the elegant record label Matinée Recordings.
The first two EPs, 'The Fallen Aristocracy EP' and 'Napoleon Sweetheart EP' are now available, and the group is currently working on their debut album 'Criminal Art Lovers'.

Der Sommer geht, der Herbst kommt und Jule+Silke begrüßen diese schöne Jahreszeit-wenn auch leicht verspätet-am 25.09. mit der schwedischen Band Stars In Coma im NBI.
Stars In Coma Songs zeichnen sich durch das Wechselspiel von komplexen und simplen Melodien aus, wobei gerade André Brorssons sanfte Stimme den Zuhörer in andere Welten führt und träumen lässt. Das Ganze wird verfeinert mit elektronischen, manchmal sehr verspielten bis experimentellen Sounds, die gerade auf den letzten Veröffentlichungen immer mehr in den Vordergrund rücken. Manchmal erinnern die neuen Sounds hier und da an die schwedischen Kollegen von Air France, aber auch an Of Montreal (USA).
