About Northern Portrait

Founded in Copenhagen july 2007, Northern Portrait is a charming band dedicated to sophisticated guitar based pop music with a musical and lyrical edge, that speaks to both the heart, body and mind.

Northern Portrait wants to invite anybody interested to listen and comment.

Less than two months after being established as a band, Northern Portrait joined the elegant record label Matinée Recordings.

The first two EPs, 'The Fallen Aristocracy EP' and 'Napoleon Sweetheart EP' are now available, and the group is currently working on their debut album 'Criminal Art Lovers'.

I was so thrilled to get to see your debut UK show especially because I've been so enamored with you for well over a year. The guitars sounded marvelous and, gosh, that voice! Stefan, your voice is so beautiful! You played every song I hoped you would. That you opened with 'A Quiet Night in Copenhagen' was wonderful because I am in love with your city (though I have yet to see it in person). And hearing the new songs has me even more excited for your album. Train fares are too pricey or else I'd come to more of your UK gigs. But I will definitely see you at Indietracks!
