It all started when he used to write poetry for his English teacher at the age of 13, and by the age of 17, (the tender/early years of college) he decided to change his poetries into raps. Of course like many artists, it was a way of expressing himself instead of turning to crime or violence like the majority of his peers around him.. . . . .

His main influences in music, (in which he has a similar style to) range from US Hip- Hop icons like, 2Pac, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G & Jadakiss to UK Artists like Dizzee Rascal, Skinny Man, TY & Klashnekoff, although he draws a lot of inspiration from Bob Marley, Jamiroquai and even X Japan!. . . . .

However KI has stated that he prefers the albums themselves rather than the actual artists, for instance he might draw influence from Jay Z’s album “Reasonable Doubt” and not be influenced by another Jay Z’s album “The Blueprint”, perhaps this is because he prefers the whole package rather than a bias opinion to which most listeners cater to.
