The Northwest Division Bio
The Northwest Division released their first EP in 2008, entitled 'Of Which I'm the Master.' The record garnered several positive reviews and was described as 'probably one of the best releases of the year (Hey, Where Did You Get That T-Shirt?).' NWD then began a long residency at their local hangout, The Eton House, in 2009. The band are currently preparing for their next recording, which will commence this fall.

It's a good thing you added me, I've been drinking coffee all day and was getting a little too wound up to enjoy any of my current playlist while trying to write a really boring essay. These songs make me feel good...I wish I could switch the coffee for beer and drive somewhere warm and sunny and listen to these songs outside somewhere. Specifically, I really dig My Star..."you know your Day For Night"...yes I do, I know what yer sayin'. Good tip of the hat, gents. I also really dig yr singer's voice...it has some personality to it...without naming names, I get a little tired of the whispering indie boy voice, so it's like a sip of fresh water...or beer. I'll have to come see you live when I get out from under this mountain of schoolwork...am I complaining too much? Probably. Anyway, I'm definitely coming to one of those Danforth shows...I used to live on the Danforth but never saw any shows there...now here's my chance. I also really dig Morning Dove. Great guitar tone and tasty guitar work on all of these.
Great turn-out at The Silver Dollar. This is a supercharged brand of rock that gives a nod to the past, an un-tempered brashness that meshes Neil Young with a soulful garage-rock approach. Definitely an electrically charged band that has crossover appeal, from classic-rock and alt-country, to indie circles.
