Who I'd like to meet:
We train students of either gender, ranging from a individuals who have never fired a pistol before to persons who have years of experience.Serving the Black Swamp area of Northwest Ohio, including the counties of Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Paulding, Putnam, Williams, and Wood. Available courses include:
NWSD Ohio Concealed Handgun
If you wish to qualify for an Ohio Concealed Handgun License, this is the course for you. Our comprehensive course meets, and goes far beyond, the training required to obtain an Ohio Concealed Handgun License.
Course fulfills all requirements of NRA Basic Pistol and draws on NRA Personal Protection in the Home, as well as a number of other sources including our own personal training background. Class instruction includes material on psychology, ethics, defensive shooting techniques, legality of lethal force, and selecting a defensive handgun. Range instruction includes simulations of real-life self-defense encounters.
This course offers far more practical, real-life self-defense instruction (both in the class and at the range) than the basic courses offered by other area training facilities in their CHL classes.

..NRA Basic Pistol
Designed for beginning pistol shooters. This course teaches students safe firearm handling, firearm parts and operation (both revolvers and semi-autos), ammunition and its function, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, how to select, clean, and store your handgun and ammunition, and reviews various shooting activities to help you continue to hone your shooting skills.
NRA Personal Protection in the Home
This course is intended to further develop the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family in and and around your home. Explains strategies on how to make your home less appealing to professional criminals, avoiding confrontation, and thoroughly covers the practical use of a firearm as a last resort to defend your home and family. Further advice is given on the different levels of mental awareness needed to assure your day-to-day safety.
