.. .. Biografia em Português.. .. Foi no distante ano de 1999 em Campinas-SP que o guitarrista Hussein Salim (atualmente único membro original) criou a banda de Heavy Metal Nosferatu, inicialmente sem nome, mas já em 2000 inspirado pela lendária figura do vampiro homônimo a banda recebe seu título. Como diversas bandas nos seus primórdios se dedicavam exclusivamente a tocar covers de bandas como: Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath e Iron Maiden... .. Por um tempo cogitaram seguir um direcionamento musical mais voltado para o Death Metal, mas isto não durou muito tempo e a banda centra seu foco no Heavy Metal tradicional de forma definitiva; tendo como inspiração e influencias das bandas: Iron Maiden (Antigo), Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath (70's) e bandas da NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) como Tysondog, Satan, Avenger etc. Após inúmeras mudanças de formação eis que em 2003 é lançada sua primeira demo, “Savoring the Blood”; a formação da banda contava com Hussein (g), Andherson Némer (v), Anderson Frias (g), Gustavo de Lúcio (b) e Diego (d)... .. Em novembro de 2004 finalmente a banda tem lançado o tão aguardo EP “Returning to the Slaughter”, com a mesma formação que gravara sua debut demo; posteriormejnte o posto de vocalista fora ocupado por Rogério Mercy e o de baterista por Henrique Matos. Aagora com esta reformulação a banda grava a música “Metal Genocide” que é incluída na coletânea “Valhalla Demo Section vol. 2” da Revista Valhalla (rip), isto no ano de 2005. Eventualmente participou de alguns shows e novamente algumas mudanças vieram ocorrer... .. Recentemente são convidados pelo selo boliviano Morbillus Records para relançarem o EP “Returning to the Slaughter” em formato K7 e com quatrocentas cópias limitadas. Além disto a gravadora carioca Dark Sun Records está prestes a lançar o mesmo EP tanto no formato vinil como em cd, mas este relançamento trará de bônus “Metal Genocide” e dois covers: “Hammerhead”, da banda inglesa Tysondog e “Lightning Strikes”, da banda canadense Thor - ambos com autorização oficial das bandas... .. Além disto a banda está totalmente concentrada no processo de gravação do debut álbum “Satan’s Child” que contará com dez músicas, oito inéditas e duas regravações do EP “Returning to the Slaughter”, que são “Night Walker” e “Nosferatu”... ..Line up:.. ..Hussein Salim (Vocals/lead guitars).. At the distant year of 1999 in a Brazilian city named Campinas (near to Sao Paulo) the guitar player Hussein Salim (currently the only former member) created a heavy metal band Nosferatu inspired in the homonimous legendary vampire (it happened in 2000, though). As many other bands around they has started playing only cover songs from bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden... .. For a pheriod they thought about following a Death Metal direction but it's no longer was made because the Traditional Heavy Metal used to be (and still is!) their favorite to play. NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) bands like Tysondog, Satan and Avenger; also Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest among others are names to put the readers into their way of sounding. After many line-up changings in 2003 the first demo was released. "Savoring the Blood" brought Hussein (guitars), Andherson Némer (vocals), Anderson Frias (guitars), Gustavo de Lúcio (bass) and Diego (drums) showing for the very first time what Nosferatu could do at that time... .. With this same line-up, In November 2004 the band finally realesed their waited EP named "Returning to the Slaughter". Not long after that Rogério Mercy has joined the band as the new singer and Henrique Matos came as the new drummer. New guys, a new song. "Metal Genocide" has been recorded to be included at the Valhalla Brazilian magazine's compilation called "Valhalla Demo Section Vol. 2". It happened in 2005. Some gigs here and there and new changes were about to come... .. Not long ago Nosferatu has been invited by the Bolivian label Morbillus Records to re-released its EP "Returning to the Slaughter" now in K7 format for a special and limited edition of 400 copies only. Besides that the Brazilian label Dark Sun Records (from Rio de Janeiro) is about to release this same EP in two new formats: LP and CD with some bonus included: "Metal Genocide" and two cover songs for "Hammerhead" (Tysondog) and "Lightning Strikes" (from the Canadian classic band Thor) - they both under the official artists authorization... .. The band is now 100% concentrated writing new songs which are going to be at the upcoming debut album already named "Satan's Child". The album will bring ten tracks, eight completely news and two of them re-recorded from the EP "Returning to the Slaughter": "Night Walker" and "Nosferatu"... .. ..Current line-up:.. .. ..Hussein Salim (vocals/lead guitars)..
