About me: No Shame Theatre in Roanoke is a venue for the creation and peformance of original theatre by anyone, about anything.
There are only three rules:
1) All pieces must be under 5 minutes long.
2) All pieces must be original, meaning no possible copyright violations.
3) You can't break anything--not laws, not the audience, not your performers, and not yourself.
Beyond that it is pretty much common sense and fire codes.
It is your theatre, make it what you want.

A controversial new play by a student in the Playwright's Lab at Hollins University, Clinton A. Johnston, will be presented at Mill Mountain Theatre from March 13th -16th. The production, performed by a professional group of actors from Charter Theatre of Washington DC, takes you on a touching, thoughtful, and hysterically funny tour of the state of Blackness in America. For one night, no matter where you are from or what you look like, you get to be African-American. Don't miss it!

Open Projector Night is a quarterly film screening of locally produced short films. Held at the historic Grandin Theatre, filmmakers of all levels of experience are encouraged to submit entries for consideration. Local filmmakers are offered a chance to showcase their work and network with other filmmakers, helping to create a forum for them to receive feedback from their peers and the audience.

Sorry no shame, I was going to come last night, but I got caught in the rain and by the time I got back to the theatre I was soaked, so I went home. Maybe next week.
