About me: this is allison r. daniels-choreographer, performer & teacher. i am also the person behind nosi dance theater (ndt). ndt is a dance company trying to usher in a new era of modern dance which focuses on diversity- in our dancers, our performances and our stories. sometimes, when people ask what style my choreography is i am a bit timid to say modern dance. why? well, because many people feel modern dance is too abstract. my modern style encompasses jazz, contemporary, ballet and ethnic dance influences to various musical genres from r&b to rock to jazz/blues- and everything in between. So, it's difficult to categorize what kind of dance nosi dance theater performs...but what i can tell you is that you will enjoy the raw, beautiful and emotional impact of dance!
ndt's goal is to be the triangle's only professional company encompassing modern, contemporary, jazz and ethnic dance techniques to broaden the dance community, thru its participants, audiences and exposure showing the wondrous diversity of our world!
