No Sleep Recordings is a company devoted to satisfying the demands of the mature Hip-Hop head. Run and controlled by the artists who made the music, this venture is designed to directly cater to their niche market by releasing music that has been long sought after or was unavailable in CD format. This opens a door to a wide variety of music such as shelved/unreleased completed albums, unearthed never-before-heard recordings, instrumentals + remixes and re-issues of out of print rare independent albums. Our focus in the Hip-Hop genre will mainly be centered around the golden era (which roughly covers Hip-Hop from 1986 through 1996).
First off is a special line of exclusive releases that we will be promoting as the "For Those That Slept Series". This will be a continuing flow of product based around the concept of Hip-Hop that has never been released and/or never been available in CD format. Next, we will be releasing several mix-CDs aimed at the discriminating Hip-Hop fan, who is tired of hearing the same 20 songs on every "old school" mix. Finally, for all you fellow vinyl junkies, we will be releasing several limited 12" samplers of music previously unavailable on wax....Check back often for news and updates.
