In its current incarnation, NoStandards was completed in the summer of 2004 with bassist Seb McBride and drummer Jonny Davys joining the fold along with founding members, vocalist David Moloney and guitarist Mike McCabe. Since then, they have set about further establishing themselves as a band worth getting excited about. Their sound, one incorporating the finer points of melodic punk along with intricate, inspired musicianship and impassioned vocals, has been cemented with the self release of the 5 track EP Losing Blood, Gaining Confidence, recorded with MTV Masher Tim G (Sonic Boom 6, Random Hand). The CD sold out at its launch at the end of July 2005.
At the time of writing, NoStandards, unsigned and unrepresented, are taking their sound, complimented by their revered, unpredictable, live show to audiences all over the country.
To be bluntly honest, Manchester's NoStandards are worth your undivided attention.
