DEFINITION: A MIX OF SO MANY GENRES THAT THE SOURCE GENRE INFLUENCE IS COMPLETELY DILUTED.

DEFINITION: A BLEND OF FRESH SPICES, CUMIN SEEDS, ELECTRO, AMBIENT, TECHNO, LEMON JUICE, ROCK, METAL, EMO, CUTLETS OF PUNK, JAZZ, DUB, DUBSTEP, GRIME, ZEST OF REGGAE, DANCEHALL, MISHMASH, LEFTFIELD, BHANGRA, HIP HOP, BRIT POP, OLD SOCKS AND ELECTRIC SHOCKS.

DEFINITION: THE AREA OF AN AEROPLANES WINGS WHICH HAVE DELICATE MECHANICS UNDERNEATH THE STEP AREA RESULTING IN THE STRICT RULE AND BIRTH OF THE WING NO STEP AREA. THE AREA NO ONE MUST SET FOOT ON FOR FEAR OF DANGEROUS RESULTS AND POSSIBLE INJURY TO MACHINERY AND SELF.

THE STORY:

Soom t is now 1 half of the NO STEP Project finally giving her and her musical comrade Hagos full creative control with their unique efforts in electronic productions influenced by a vast array of artists. Some of these artists have helped to guide, teach and influence Soom T on her long journey through the world of underground music over the years finally giving birth to Soom T's own brand of electro no step dance hop music and Damien Omen The NO STEP Project. NO STEP is a blend of genres from electro clash to grime, reggae to industrial and house to techno, all genres within which Soom T has found some edge with artists in these genres over the years to be slashed with Soom Ts own unique sound and voice. This sees Soom T have an equal hand in making the music she vocalises on and there was always only going to be one other half for such a powerful project...Hagos.

Soom T met Hagos while she was on tour with his band Senser deputising for their rapper Kerstin many years ago when she was a young mc raring to discover what other musical worlds existed beyond her City. 2 very different individuals with the same worldly and musical attitude and vision brought together by a musical coincidence or a destined plan written in the stars. They stayed in touch of course and threw some ideas about over the years about a project that would see the duo showing the world what making original music was all about. Finally, the No Step Project was born.

HAGOS (LORD HAGOS) has been kicking about- doing sound, playing, producing and programming- since the beginning of time. Originally playing guitar in punk and metal bands, he went on to play bass for Sleeping Dogs Wake, Lodestar and Ozric Tentacles while constantly experimenting in his home studio with electronica, ambient, industrial / EBM and dub (hagos has been programming and making electronic music since long before the advent of the home computer..). he went on to program, produce and remix for Senser and Dub War- amongst many others- and to mix sound for anyone who had any sense.. Often described as "the world's greatest live sound engineer" HAGOS still mixes live sounds all around the globe, but focusses all other available time and energy on NO STEP. In Soom he feels~ after many long years of searching~ he has eventually found the perfect writing / production partner- although there are gaping differences in their ages, influences and life experiences, Soom T and HAGOS seem to be of one mind in many ways, drawn towards similar quirky / eerie modes and harmonies, an interest in a spiritual life, a strong belief in social justice and an irresistable tendency towards extremely deep bass..

AND SO IT BEGINS... *NEWS* NO STEP PRODUCTIONS, the label has been set up to begin with it's first release. Remember to Wake up will be released on March 15th 2009. Keep your ears to the underground...
