Because we are three sisters with quite an age range, our influences are pretty broad. They range from Chris Tomlin/Selah to Billy Joel to Taylor Swift. Our music is a reflection of the many musical influences we have had throughout our lives.
Not About Us is a group of three sisters from Miami, Fl. Heather, Holly and Katie sing inspirational music with a gospel edge. They have been singing together as Not About Us since 2002.. In that time they have sung in many churches, special events/fundraisers, festivals and other venues. They have participated in various contests and won several awards. These include: top 20 in the CBS "Singing Family Face-off 2009", Semi-finalist 2009 Embassy Music Talent Search, Overall Winner 2006 Youth Talent Search sponsored by Papa San, 2nd place winner in the 2005 GMA Music in the Rockies , and others.
Heather is the oldest sister and manages many facets of Not About Us. She is the one you will more than likely be in contact with when you call. Heather lives in Homestead, Fl with her husband, Thomas, and her daughter, Faith. She works part time as a medical transcriptionist and is the worship leader at Faith Church of the Redlands.
Holly is the typical middle child. Sandwiched between her older sister Heather and her younger siblings Katie and Kenny. She lives in Ft. Lauderdale with her husband, Chris, and her little boy, Vance. Holly is also expecting another little boy, Tanner, to arrive soon. Holly is a Speech Pathologist by trade, and has been practicing as such for 9 years.
Katie is the youngest of the three and lives in Gainesville, Fl. with her husband of two years. Katie is currently studying to be a Health administrator and works part time as a bridal consultant at Jay's Bridal. Katie sings with her church choir and praise band on Sunday's in McIntosh, Fl. In her spare time, she loves to write music and hang out in the sun at her swimming pool.
