Seit 2005 sind Not Called Jinx aus Berlin unterwegs und erobern Deutschlands Bühnen im Sturm. Die Musik der 5 smarten Jungs - im Schnitt gerade mal 19 Jahre alt - erinnert an eine Mischung aus Punk-Rock und Alternative mit einer Riesenportion Melodie und Pop.

Für ihre EP „Who Needs Winners Anyway!?“ (September 2007) erspielten sich Not Called Jinx das nötige Kleingeld auf Berlins bunten Einkaufsstraßen, holten sich Produzent Florian Nowak (5BUGS, Kain, Pinboys) ins Boot und verkauften bereits über 400 CDs. Das Szenemagazin unclesally*s schrieb dazu: „Die Produktion klingt astrein, die spielerische Umsetzung ist top und kleine, aber feine Ideen wie Streichereinlagen lassen aufhorchen“.

Mit einem klaren Ziel vor Augen und einer beachtlichen Sturheit geben die Berliner jetzt Vollgas und freuen sich auf weitere unvergessliche Momente, von denen es in ihrer gemeinsamen Zeit als Not Called Jinx schon so viele gab.

Since 2005, Not Called Jinx , a-Berlin-Germany-based-rock- band have conquered stages like storm. The music of the 5 amazing guys- (Kilian-Vocals, Adrian-Guitar/Vocals, Tommy - Guitar/Vocals, Ichan - Bass, Vincent - Drums) with an average of just 20 years old - is a mixture of punk-rock and alternative rock, injected with mind blowing and catchy vocal melodies

For whom, who has ever seen Not Called Jinx live, knows that their music can‘t be described with one word, because it‘s safe to say they always serve breathtaking and powerful live performances to their enthusiastic fans throughout the whole country- whether as a co-headliner on a tour of Itchy Poopzkid and 5Bugs , or on the big festival stages alongside bands like The Hives, Anti-Flag or Danko Jones in front of thousands of people. And recently the band got a shot as supporting act for All Time Low & The Audition's tour in Berlin.

As Not Called Jinx continues to fight for International recognition, they are winning over thousands upon thousands of worldwide listeners on Myspace alone each week. Their EP "Who Needs Winners Anyway?" (September 2007) which was produced by Florian Nowak (5BUGS, Cain, Pinboys) has already been sold over 400 CDs. The local German Scene Magazine Uncle Sally * s wrote: "The production sounds minimalist, but the playful experimentation they put on the songs will make you stand up from your sit."

With a clear goal of these 5 talented young men, they are looking forward to step to the higher levels and spread out the name “Not Called Jinx“ throughout the whole world.

In October 2009 they will go back to the studio with producer Florian Nowak to record their debut full-length album.

F: Spielt ihr auch mal in meiner Stadt?
A: Wir versuchen eigentlich immer, so viel wie möglich in verschiedenen Teilen Deutschlands zu spielen. Die Clubs bei denen wir anfragen wollen nur immer nicht, warum wissen wir auch nicht, denn unsere Mails werden eigentlich prinzipiell nicht beantwortet.

F: Warum nicht?
A: Weil unsere Musik nicht so geil ist, glaub ich..?

F: Achso, schade. Wie alt seid ihr?
A: Jahrgang '88 / '90

F: Öööö, geht ihr noch zur Schule?
A: Nein, 3x Uni und 2x Nach-Abitur-Urlauber.

F: Wie geht's euch?

F: Wie habt ihr denn mit soner Musik bitte über 300.000 Plays geschafft?
A: Kilian und Adrian haben einen 8-jährigen Jungen aus Kambodscha adoptiert, er sitzt den ganzen Tag vorm Computer und drückt auf aktualisieren.

F: Macht er auch eure Freundschaftsanfragen?
A: Ja, aber er vertippt sich immer bei den Sicherheitscodes, leider

F: Wie heißt er?
A: Sein Name ist Marvin.

A: We are always trying to play in every part of Germany, but sometimes the clubs which we've asked , don't let us play there, we also don't know why. Because basically our messages aren't answered.
