    Notes from Maelis was founded in late 2006, when five guys from Marburg/Giessen gathered to jam without an obligation. Over the years the written material seemed to be pretty good and evolved a more serious approach to the process of songwriting. That development took it's toll. The band had to handle about one line up change annually. Since early 2009 the final line up is: Sven Radig, Jakob Fallert, Chris Enderle, Robert Powilleit and Moritz Jung. All members played in different Metal/Punk/Hardcore bands before and bring in their own experiences and musical socialisation.The result is a pool of sounds located between different metal- and hardcore riffings. Notes from Maelis converts melodic post-hardcore elements, smooth athmospherical parts which are brought to eruption, progressive elements, purposefully inserted blast beat attacks and doublebass salvoes and tries so to define it's own sound. Topmost premise is to play music without blinders and to have additionally fun.
