Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts Bill Meyers Drums, Percussion, Lead and Backup Vocals A Delaware native, Bill started with some formal training such as reading, writing, and theory. He played in local bands that were rock and oldies, but blues influenced. He later found his love and style leaning more towards soul and blues. After graduating high school, he moved to New Mexico and played in the Southwest for a couple of years. Coming back to Delaware and playing with some local and regional acts, he found a certain restlessness and the urge to travel and try to find that missing link. Moving to Atlanta, Georgia in the late 70’s, proved to change his life forever when he played in a traditional blues band “Dry Ice Blues Band.” After teaming up with Roger Gregory and Joel Murphy and met, opened for, and played with John Hammond. Since then, he has provided a strong foundation for such performers as Bill Kirchen, The Coasters, and The Drifters and many regional bands as well. Having opened for legendary blues and rock artists such as Albert Collins, Albert King, Johnny Winter, Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Marshall Tucker, Steppenwolf, Foghat, and Charlie Daniels, Bill has established himself as a member of the blues community. He combines precision and artistry to provide solid, creative rhythm sections and derives great satisfaction from knowing that his audiences have been entertained. ********************************************************** Chris McAfee Lead Guitar, Slide guitar, Harmonica Lead and Backup Vocals Chris McAfee started his musical career at the young age of 8. Thanks to his mom who forced him to join the church choir as punishment for acting up in school. His first guitar was a Christmas present when he was 14 an (acoustic). That gift lit a fire in Chris and one year later he was playing in a folk/blues/bluegrass band called the Bluesberries. When Chris looks back he considers himself lucky to be influenced by locale guitar players like Kenny Benner, Wes Wolfrum and Bill White. These players in turn had Chris playing rhythm guitar for them hours upon hours so they could play lead! These guys had Chris listening to Mississippi John Hurt, Sonny Terry, Brownie Magee, and Lightning Hopkins. As well as David Bromberg, Chet Atkins, John Mayall, Peter Green and so on. At 17 he purchased an electric guitar a Fender Telecaster his favorite electric guitar to this day. Chris has played in many bands and many different styles of music but always coming home to the blues. Some of the groups Chris has played with over the years include. Harvest, Reckless, The Blind Dogs, The Jeanine Waters band, The Soup Kings, The Smokin Joe’s, The Poor Souls, and Night Street. Chris has shared the stage or opened for performers such as Bernard (Pretty) Purdy, Kim Waters, The Nighthawks, Michael Hill, Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets with Sam Myers, Roy Gaines, and Eddie Kirkland He emerged from such a diversified background singing and playing the blues with the style and flair of a true entertainer. His original songs are a slice of life dotted with blistering lead riffs and words of truth. ************************************************************* Greg Haughey Electric & Upright Bass, Lead and Backup Vocals Greg is a transplant from Pittsburgh, PA where he established himself as a singer, songwriter and guitar player. He led several bands (RAOUL & THE PASSIONS, TEMPO TANTRUM) to success in Pittsburgh clubs and on the radio. He's been featured on radio programs such as Rock in Pittsburgh and Saturday Night Blues with Bumble Bee Slim, and earned regular radio play with original songs such as “Pink Pumps” and “You Say”. He was also a featured artist at the 3 Rivers Arts Festival with John Lee Hooker, and has followed in the footsteps of the likes of Springsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others by playing notable clubs like the Decade and Graffiti. In 1993 he moved to Dover, Delaware and re-established himself as one of the most sought after bass players on Delmarva including stints with The PLATTERS, The COASTERS, and The DRIFTERS in DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. Co-creating THE SUPERTONICS with Kiran Contractor & Mark Trotter, The trio released and sold out its first pressing of the album Accident Waiting To Happen which was featured on the international radio show "BLUES DELUXE". With album sales on three continents, the band has enjoyed radio play all over the world. ********************************************************** Joey Fulkerson Lead Guitar, Slide guitar, Lead and Backup Vocals Joey is a highly sought after musician known for his dynamic guitar work and his soulful vocal style. Starting on harmonica in second grade while also performing in school chorus, Joey got the music bug at a young age. A tragic skateboard accident at age fourteen led Joey to learn the guitar starting with his older brother’s hand me down hollow-body. Performing in area nightclubs since age seventeen he developed a reputation with his incendiary playing and wild showmanship. Realizing the potential for a life long music career Joey set about learning many styles of music, making him an incredibly versatile musician. Joey says” I sort of backed into the blues” being influenced by ZZ TOP, The Pat Travers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd he discovered these groups were influenced by the classic blues recordings by Muddy Waters, Albert King, and Robert Johnson sending him on yet another journey of discovery.Joey has performed with such bands as Hyde Park, The Cutters, Joey & The Hurricanes, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters The Marvelettes, and most recently toured the world with the legendary Chubby Checker.

May 26 2009 8:10 AM

THANKS for the add, you're one rockin BADDASS!

BLACK ROBOT Debut CD!!
Featuring the singles "Baddass", "Cocaine" and "I'm in Love".

ALREADY AVAILABLE ON AMAZON.com!!!

Early reviews say:
From the opening AC/DC inspired groove of “Cocaine” , a wickedly arranged cover of J.J. Cale’s narcotic classic, Black Robot serves instant notice with their self-titled debut that not only do they have it, they damn near destroyed the laboratory to get it. This mechanical/musical beast was conceived and constructed for the divine, ultimate destruction of brain cells, ear fibers and false perceptions about what it truly means to rock as if our very survival as a race depended on it.
