“Part hipster, part hillbilly and endlessly entertaining” (Joey Guerra, Houston Chronicle), News on the March is a group of five close friends who share not only their music with each other, but their home. In an old house within an older neighborhood in Houston, Texas, they write and record music that sounds like it could have come from “their parents' (or even grandparents') record collections” (Chris Gray, Houston Press).
After playing the Westheimer Block Party, a semi-annual festival presented by Free Press Houston, they were described in the Houston Chronicle as having “that sort of indefinable sound that incorporates jazz, blues, folk and pop”. The Houston Press has compared a variety of their songs to “rambling '60s folk-rock a la the Lovin' Spoonful or Dylan circa Blonde on Blonde”, “a Beach Boys/Grandaddy vibe” and “vintage blissed-out Village Green Preservation Society action”.

The triple harmonies slay me!!! You put us to shame and steal the stage. Curse you all! But seriously, such a nice performance on Saturday. Let's book something soon!
I listened to some of these songs more than a couple of times this morning...I really cannot wait until Saturday to listen to some new songs for a change.
Send me some recordings. I love each and everyone of you...especially that Brent. Remember when food was his vice and not music?...oh how times have changed.
