Not Rocket Science are a four piece band with an energetic and fun set. The music’s appeal is created through a variety of melodies, powerful vocals and driving bass lines. On occasions the music can almost be unsettling, frightening and so powerful that it demands attention.
Singer songwriters & founder members ‘Slasher Farago’ & ‘Fingers Hatcher’ formed as a two piece acoustic duo in 2003. Fiddes Artois joined the band in 2005 as “da wun-an-only drummer”, a multi talented PR man, drinker, smoker & lover!!! Finally in 2008, time-warp fashion icon, Killer Bassist & Love Machine Evil Ernie rocked up.
In the last couple of years, Not Rocket Science have performed on Brunel FM, Swindon FM, supported big name acts like Hulafrau and The Elms as well as performing in London, Bristol, Oxford and Leeds.
On occasions Not Rocket Science has been compared with early B52’s, The Squeeze, Yard Birds, Kinks and REM to name a few. To sum up the band is pretty easy.
