"For this jazz report I well love to talk about a show I went on Tuesday April 3, 2007, I don't know the address of the place I just know it was some were on the city I think is call the Bowery Poetty club, the night two bands were playing the fist one is called No Truck and it was formed by four guys, tree of them play just one instrument and one of them play two (guitar and sax) the other members play the trumpet, electric keyboard and drums. And all the music they were playing were improvising I don rely know what stile it is but is kind of crazy, I went whit my friend and he told me that the guy that play the trumpet was in a kind of trans when he was doing his solos and I think all of them were because the drum guy tuck peaces off from the drum seed, also the keyboard guy is pretty good at it because sometimes he use to play rely fast and some times he kind of slow down, all the band were playing and when they star a song they kind of star slow but as the song were going all of them were going crazy whit the improvising, what I did not see in this band was a bass bout it was a pretty good show the best jazz performance I ever been." -Juan, college student------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"The room was cool and dark and everyone seemed to be focusing on the performance. I saw my professor on stage wielding a guitar and making weird percussive sounds with it. The song his band was performing had no harmony and was extremely freaky. The intruments being played were Trumpet, Rhodes, Sax, Guitar, and Drums. The drummer seemed to be playing in a minimalist way, but with the force of Art Blakey. The Trumpeter played like a demon. The whole arrangement was making my skin crawl, but obscure fusion does to you sometimes. My professor played wonderfully was really the highlight of the performance. He had good command over his Sax and I'd love to see him in a conventional Jazz performance. I assumed the leader of the band was the Keyboardist, because of the bastions of solos he would take. Basically leading the band, with his showy playing. I personally like minimalism in Keyboard jazz playing, but that's me. But wait... Fuck... The mescaline just began to kick in..."
