Conlasuñas te presenta a la mejor banda inglesa que tenemos el placer de conocer. A
sus 13 años de edad, Bilge Pump son absolutamente imprescindibles para
entender el panorama del rock independiente (de verdad) británico. Aún
así, sólo han grabado dos LPs: “Let me breathe” (2002) y “Rupert the
sky” (2007).
Imaginad una conjunción bastarda entre los
planteamientos de The Jesus Lizard, Led Zeppelin, The Fall, Blue Cheer,
Funkadelic y King Crimson. Debe de haber unas dos mil etiquetas para
esta banda, a la que bastaría con calificar de única e irrepetible:
art-punk-progresivo-avant-jazz-lo que sea, y además es hiperbailable.
Se trata de tres gentlemen sobrados de experiencia, técnica y un sentido del humor impecable.
A
su batería, Neil Turpin, ya lo disfrutamos en Zaragoza durante la
segunda gira europea de los estadounidenses Enablers. Según Brian
Chippendale (Lighting Bolt): “Turpin is really one of the
best drummers I have seen. He made me feel like a one-trick pony”.
