Whether in concert or just among friends, I've long enjoyed playing music and singing songs from the traditions of England, Ireland and Scotland. I've performed as a soloist and as a member of several bands (not necessarily all at the same time) at places like Club Passim, the Boston Celtic Music Fest, The Oasis Coffeehouse, the Concerts at the Captain's House series and the ICONS Festival. I also try to get out regularly to sessions around Boston, whether in pubs or parlors.
Three Scottish reels
Katie McNally and me in concert at the 2007 Boston Celtic Music Fest, filmed by Mike McNally. Check out Katie's page. Yes, I would have liked to leap around like Pete Townshend, but there wasn't a lot of room on stage.
