    ..Meet Producer/Mixer/Song-writer ..Martyn "Ginge" Ford..(owner of Newport, Wales based ..Nott-In-Pill Studios.. (contact info below). .. This song-writer/musician initially spent a number of years learning his craft from the other side of the console. Having been in successful bands such as The Blood Brothers, Dub War and Skindred, he had the opportunity to work in various world-class studios with producers such as Bryan Chuck New, Paul Schroeder, Mike Plotnikoff, Howard Benson and Rick Will. .. It was during a session with Howard Benson that the inspiration to produce/mix hit him. Ginge recalls, "after seeing the drums being edited in Pro-Tools I decided that is what I want to do." Being absolutely serious and committed in his inspiration, Ginge and former band mate Jeff quit Skindred to pursue a career in production. In 2002 the guys both attended Glamorgan University's Music Technology degree course and then promptly set up Nott-In-Pill Studios in Wales. .. When producer/mixer Colin Richardson (Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Slipknot, Machine Head, Funeral For A Friend, etc) was looking for a studio in Wales to do vocal sessions for the last Bullet For My Valentine album, the BFMV guys suggested Nott-In-Pill as they had done a Kerrang! track there with Ginge & Jeff. Not only did Ginge & Jeff end up engineering all of the vocal sessions on the album, they also worked with Colin on the recording of some of the drums, bass and guitars. Colin was so impressed that he urged his manager of 18 years to take them on... From their Nott-In-Pill Studios, Ginge & Jeff went on to work with many of the UK's finest bands, including Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend, Skindred, Glamour of the Kill, Blackhole, As Silence Falls and many more. Their excellent work resulted in the guys going on to mix projects such as Roadrunner United's live DVD and live tracks for the last Soulfly album. .. ..Ginge is now running Nott-In-Pill Studios on his own (he is the sole owner) and mixed the Dirge Within album and the Mutiny Within album there. Ginge also co-mixed Eleveitie's last album at Nott-In-Pill with Colin Richardson. Further, Ginge engineered most of the production sessions on the latest Top 5 Bullet For My Valentine album "Fever" for producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte). Ginge then did more bonus tracks with Bullet For My Valentine at Nott-In-Pill as well as engineering Colin Richardson's mix of the latest USA Top 10 As I Lay Dying album "The Powerless Rise" and 6 songs from the current Tarja album. Ginge and Colin Richardson then co-mixed the live audio for the stunning new Slipknot Live at Download DVD, "(sic)nesses". After that is was another co-mix with Colin, a single ("Ocean of Storms") for the incredible Australian band Sydonia! Ginge then went on his own to record part of and fully mix the album of new Roadrunner signings Revoker. He then headed to the USA to co-produce and co-mix the new Trivium (2011) album with Colin. The guys mixed Trivium's album in the UK and now...He's on the new Machine Head album mix with Colin Richardson and Carl Bown.
