The band formed some years ago, undergoing a number of name changes until finally settling with Not Too Shabby. The current incarnation really kicked off at the start of 2007 when Colin Lewis joined Danny Bhatt, Lee Czarnetzki, Doc Stone and Da Geena Bhatt to replace former bassist Luke Roberts. Throughout 2007 Not Too Shabby played a number of gigs and made good progress towards writing the remaining material that will complete the follow up album to 2006's "Play Me". Unfortunately, following a headline gig in February 2008 at Klub Kakofanney in Oxford, vocalist Doc Stone decided that, for personal reasons, he too would leave the band. Following a month of inactivity, the hunt for a new vocalist began in earnest. The result of that search was the addition of Mazza to the Not Too Shabby family in May 2008. Throughout the second half of 2008 we started recording Movin' On(album) and we performed a number of gigs. In october 2008 we were included on a complilation cd by the online music magazine, Skratch Magazine, the cd was distributed to fans for free at The Vodoo Festival in the USA(headliners were REM and Stone Temple Pilots). 2009 has been a quiet year in terms of gigs getting the album finished has been a priority. In August 2009 Lee Czarnetzki left the band,and the band has continued from then on as a four piece. In the past twenty months the bands musical style has somewhat changed direction. Nightshift a regular Oxford music magazine was quoted as saying Not Too Shabby were a bluesy rock influenced band, well that has since changed as the music has changed into a more varied and matured format, ranging from metal/hard rock to instrumental rock, even acoustic rock . This is the result of four musicians who are into varied forms of music, and bring with them their many influences in to the mix and this produces a sound that is hopefully unique and something that sounds different from whats out there today. "Movin' On" the album featuring Lee Czarnetzki's final work with Not Too Shabby was released in the first weeks of 2010. 2010 was a quiet year in regards to gigs and being heard, but behind the scenes the band were hard at work putting together new music. February 2011 Not Too Shabby signed to MKVIBE Records, the same month Not Too Shabby undertook a photo shoot for MKVIBE and March 19th filmed the official video for Motor Shabby.
