"..often funny and sometimes wistful country-lite tunes.." - The Onion
Bringing people true music that inspires drinking, crying, laughing, spilling of drinks, laughing to the point of crying, and crying to the point of laughter followed by more drinking.
A little backstory on where the Nouns came from:On a drunken night when Bismarck, ND natives Mike Swenson and longtime friend, Brianne Schmidt, were cutting and pasting away in Photoshop. A few clicks, one baby photo, and 8 letters later, The Nouns were born. Mike took the name and now here we are.
Mike Swenson and The Nouns are an original folk/country/jam group from St.Paul, MN.
Mike can also be seen playing solo or along with the very talented Ashley Roussopoulos, so please stay tuned for some great music this summer. Hey Mike, thanks for the invite. Good to see a fellow ND transplant keeping the therapeutic drinking, laughing, crying and usefulness of nouns alive and well. Good stuff. Stop on by anytime, we'll have a visit and ponder the perplexities of action verbs. Peace, Scott
