Novachild is an audio/visual project was formed in 1998 by Bruce Rich (of The Living Machines).
His experience with Fusion, Industrial, Punk, World Beat and Indietronica have contributed to the atmosphere of Novachild. It can be a solo project, or it can be a group effort (with the likes of Tim Casey, William S, Keith Moyo on various instruments).
The result is highly original music with a mission to stimulate the mind and body.
Bruce Rich (Novachild) is a one-man wrecking crew.... His alter ego Novachild, is his answer to what is missing in the electronic realm here...." says Tim Casey, producer. "When I listen to his work, I’m hearing some 20+ years of sounds and nuance being intricately laid down, as if you were reading a technical manual on how to build a fucking atom bomb. His music brings together elements from across the spectrum of sound, with influences ranging too far and wide to express here, but the resulting music is always exactly what it needs to be, and is never more than it should be. It’s a perfect balance of light and dark."
The back catalog of Novachild is manifest on three full LPs, three EPs, dozens of solo pieces, remixes and collaborative works. While not performing, Bruce is a father, a visual artist, poet, and b-movie afficionado.
THE COSMIC MICROWAVE - The 24 Hour Project
This was conceived, produced and mixed in 24 hours by Novachild and J the G for Alonetone's "24 hour album 2008" challenge. The goal was to make 24 minutes of recorded music within a day's time and share the results with the rest of the world.
