Much has been written elsewhere about Novacosm, just Google the band name or my own, and you will see a number of hits. Much of it is incorrect, much of it is true, and people are fairly polarized on the issues involved.
As a young man, I waded into a river that had been flowing long before I was born. Its currents were fed by the momentum of history. An undertow raged with the fury of those who were done injustice in the past. I was easily pulled in, and tossed against the rocks.
But, as Nietzsche says, what does not kill me makes me stronger.
True power comes when one calms the waters inside themselves. He who is master over himself has no other master. The task is to open one's heart, to consolidate the mind, to be free of attachments and bonds that limit your view and constrict your horizon.
Then you will know real freedom, not the pre-packaged version pop-culture adores.
May you develop deeper understanding of yourself and the world. May your greatest potential as a man or woman be realized. May your highest vision be unrestrained by the dark age we live in. May you know real peace, so that you may share that peace with others. May you know real love, in all its forms.
