O NOVA PASTA foi criado em julho de 2005 por integrantes da antiga
banda ALL JOKERS na cidade de Campinas. O som que começou em 1999
influenciado por punk rock e hardcore straight-forward, foi mutando
com base na experimentação musical - com o passar dos muitos anos, não
havia mais sentido manter a origem all-joker, mas moldar sua nova
personalidade e dar continuidade ao destaque conquistado na cena
campineira. Apesar do som do Nova Pasta ser de alguma forma
influenciado por bandas como All, Descendents, Faraquet, Burning
Airlines, Dismemberment Plan, Diagonal, Cause for Effect, Medications,
Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Menudos, Mamonas Assassinas e muitos elementos
neo/post hardcore; é difícil encontrar um estilo no qual a banda se
encaixe plenamente. Renomeada de acordo, a banda está promovendo seu
primeiro álbum, chamado Lumbago - lançado no primeiro semestre de
2007.

Nova Pasta was started in Campinas-SP, Brazil, in 2005 by the former members of the now extinct band All Jokers. All Jokers came to life circa 1999. While the sound at the very beggining had a very strong influence of straight-forward punk rock and hardcore, elements of "experimentation" were always present in the songs. As the years passed, there were some minor member changes, the band grew in the Campinas underground scene, achieving small fame, and its personality started to take shape. However, there was a point were the band's style had changed almost completely since the early days. So it was decided that All Jokers was no more, and that a new band had been spawned: Nova Pasta. All Jokers released during its short six-years life one four song demo in 2001, and a 12 song record in 2003. Even though the Nova Pasta sound is somehow influenced by bands like ALL, Descendents, Faraquet, Burning Airlines, Dismemberment Plan, Diagonal, Cause for Effect, Medications, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Menudos, Mamonas Assassinas and has many neo/post hardcore elements, it is difficult to find anything that can remind someone of the band's sound. It is quite unique in a certain way. The songs avaliable in myspace are the CD (for sale since 2007 june ) previews.
