Response to 'The Draft EP':
'You get a glorious hint of how good they are live here with this delicious four track EP... they are absolutely brilliant at what they do... one hell of a fine band, one hell of a fine EP. - Single of the Week'
(The Organ)
'The kind of delicious shoegaze/psych-rock that once made Ride and early Verve so viscerally thrilling.'
(God Is In The TV)
'If there's any justice you should be hearing a lot more from them in the near future. *****'
(Music News.com)
'The Nova Saints may just be the band to inject some much needed attitude back into the UK music scene... [Far Out] could easily become a modern comedown classic... expect big things from The Nova Saints. ****1/2'
(Click Music.com)
'As self-released debuts come, they don't get much more impressive than this... The Nova Saints deserve this break.'
(Line of Best Fit.com)
If you were to look into the space between the psychedelic punk of Creation Records and the majestic pop of Philles; between the West Coast’s 60s troubadours and 4AD’s alien soundscapes - you would find The Nova Saints.
Having grown up together in the walled city of Hereford, The Nova Saints relocated to the bohemian melting pot of Bristol to develop and shape their sound - a sonic hybrid of their collective influences that owes as much to noise-art and swirling psychedelia as it does to classic pop.
With a national headlining NME tour already under their belt, The Nova Saints have established themselves as one of the UK’s most recognised unsigned bands, garnering praise from the likes of Clint Boon and long time supporter and inspiration Nick McCabe.
As well as being revered for their impressive live reputation, The Nova Saints have also contributed to Northern Star Records’ trailblazing ‘Psychedelica’ series and released ‘The Draft EP’ on their own HR4 Records label in 2007.
‘The Nova Saints out-swagger Kasabian’ – NME
‘Stunning’ – Clint Boon
‘They've refined 20 years of music into pop genius’ – Nick McCabe
