   About NOVELIFT
"Nashville-based rock band NOVELIFT is quickly gaining a reputation in the southeast for their explosive live shows. With their unique, piano rooted songwriting along with the dynamic range of vocalist, Colin Ambrose, NOVELIFT manages to shift from an inconspicuous hum to a swelling, vigorous rock band within seconds. In June 2006 they release their first EP entitled "letmeinthisismypass." The EP included 6 songs and they are currently completing their full length album this year."
-em Marketing

"Novelift's sound is heavily weighted by the singer's vocals, which are piercingly beautiful yet haunting and sad. Think of a very suicidal Freddie Mercury, gathering up his last remaining ounces of energy (before death) in order to deliver quivering wails of pain in a soprano more haunting than Gorecki's 3rd Symphony. Novelift [delivers] a powerful, gut-wrenching, goth-influenced song that recalled the best of Trent Rezner combined with touches of Pink Floyd's trippy Dark Side of the Moon. The latter is in fact how I would describe the sound of Novelift in a live performance. [Colin’s] keyboard has the tone of a creepy circus piano, and his vocals are some of the best soprano I've heard outside the Schermerhorn. With more touring and a smartly produced studio effort, Novelift could easily become the Nine Inch Nails of the 2000's."
-listen!Nashville

“Local rockers Novelift’s Radiohead-esque minor key melodicism and guitar fuzz are offset by a pop bounce straight out of the sunny 60’s”
-The Nashville Rage

“I'm always a little nervous when I work with bands, I must say. However when bands like Novelift come in, bring a crowd, and satisfy everybody in the building I can honestly say I am glad I booked these guys and DEFINITELY look forward to working with them again in the near future.”

Hey there,

I've just posted a new song. And basically I'd like you to listen to it, and then leave praise upon my page, sincere or otherwise, in order to boost my already over-inflated ego. Thanks.

Polls are open until 8pm tonight in Nashville! For early voting schedules and locations, click here. You can always hit the old Howard School on 2nd Ave, where the Davidson County Election Commission is located.

You don't have to be registered Democrat to vote in the Democratic primary; they will ask which primary election you want to vote in, that's it. You can not vote in both the Republican and Democratic primary.

After this Thursday, you will have to go the location assigned to your registered-address. But from now until then, you can go to whichever location is most convenient to you. To find which location you are registered to, visit click here. For a real live person, call 615.862.8800 and the kind folks at the Davidson County Election Commission can assist you.

PS: Have you thought about what our State of the Union could sound like?

NOW GO VOTE!
