Hailing from the North-West of Tassie, Novella is a name you'll soon be hearing a whole lot more of across the country..
With their incredible original sound, massive stage presence and a straight ahead attitude, it's no wonder Novella has accompanied major artists including Shihad, Diesel, Jimmy Barnes, The Angels, Area 7 and in the last few months of 2008 alone, supported The Getaway Plan, The Lazys, British India, Birds of Tokyo, Something With Numbers, Calling All Cars..the list goes on, and it continues into 2009. Keep your eye out for them again this year, with dates already set to play with British India again, with more announcements to follow.
In 2008 they played at the Breath Of Life Festival in Tassie and impressed a massive New Years Eve crowd to wrap it all up and bring in 2009, kicking off into the new year with an EP nearly complete and headlining the Splash Of Music Festival on Tasmania’s East-Coast.
Novella are fast becoming highly sought after around the State and have been invited to play shows with some of the biggest musical rock acts that Australia has to offer. With the assistance of some amazing individuals such as Duncan Underwood (Dukes of Windsor - Sound Engineer), David Sykes (River City Records) and Greg Stace (Sydney based Producer) to name a few, Novella are on the up-and-up!
This talented group of lads in their early twenties are one of the hardest working bands in Tasmania, writing and rehearsing their sets most nights of the week and playing regular gigs on a fully-booked schedule for months at a time.
Novella’s original “alternative rock pop” sounds textured on record and blistering onstage. Their shows are energetic and original. The bigger the better!
Novella's highly-anticipated debut EP is currently being completed. This is being recorded by Sydney based Producer Greg Stace (Something With Numbers, One Dollar Short, Kid Courageous), and will be available shortly in stores via a distribution deal with MGM and online through i-tunes. Relentless touring will follow soon-after, including shows at some of the most popular venues in the country.

We are trying at the moment to organise something with The Dirty Love. Apart from that , nothing yet. Which is a real shame because we're so keen!! But we're recording in just a few days! Hopefully we'll organise an EP Launch or something!
