.::| The Story of Novellice
The music of Novellice follows a story, to be told in the form of thirty-full color graphic novels. I cannot predict the date, or give you any assurance as to when the artwork for this project will begin, but it won't commence until March of 2009 at the earliest. I've given you the ability to read the issues here, but that could change at any time. SPOILER WARNING - If you do NOT want to know what will happen in the graphic novel, then do NOT read these.

.::| What is theRedPress?
This project is part of theRedPress, which is essentially a collection of conceptual music usually accompanied by some form of fictional story. Although not currently active as a label, in the years to come theRedPress will also act as a small indie label for a select group of musicians who also enjoy the creation of conceptual music in some form.

For the guitar, I ran my acoustic/electric classical guitar through a DigiTech RP 150 and plugged that into my computer via USB.
I recorded the vocal tracks using a microphone I found that I think came with some learn-a-foreign-language software. Not great but it works.
Recording/Mixing/Editing was all done using Audacity.

I'm pretty happy with the finished product, even if it is a cover. On the other hand, I feel like I mixed up the song enough that I made it my own, so it's not "just another cover" (although I'm really good at those). But all-in-all, not bad considering I developed the feel of it on Monday and got it all recorded and mixed (while drinking heavily) on Tuesday.

Just though I'd let you know that I've finally got a song posted. You should give it a listen and let me know what you think.

I had heard it before, but I guess I didn't notice it right away. Other ones I really like: Continual Abuse, Forever Always Ends Abruptly, Is My Skin Burning?.. pretty much all of it.

If it's not too much trouble then that would be nice.
Who knows, maybe others would donate, can't hurt can it?
Gary

Apr 10 2009 1:56 AM

Ah, ok. =..
The reason I'd rather donate than download them again is because my internet service provider puts a cap on my downloads. But, I guess I'll purchase and download them after my usage lowers a bit.
Just know you deserve compensation for your awesome work!
Gary

I think you should set up a donate option..

Either way, I'm listening. Like i said, i really like all your stuff.
Is there anywhere i can get the written version of the comic besides the internet?

Apr 8 2009 3:29 AM

Yeah dude, i liked it alot. I see the coheed influence, or maybe the way you influenced coheed. either way, just give it time and it'll happen for ya. My favorite line was something like, "don't worry, one day daddy's songs will make lots of money." It was something of that sort. Very impressed with that and your music.

Apr 7 2009 3:23 AM

Dude, I love all of your stuff. I just read issue 0 and its awesome. Very jealous of your story and ability.
Any personal connections to your story?

Mar 20 2009 6:35 PM

haha, for sure. I'm so psyched to be done with finals and on to spring break though. My guitars have been neglected and I feel bad about that. Now that I finally have some free time, I'm going to have to give them some loving.

Hey. So I took a 2-month break from myspace, and the day I come back, I see that 3 of my friends have notices that they are now friends with you...

Coincidence? I think not.

Yay, the BrentSpace lives! I was so worried when you said you took it down that I couldn't find the courage to check until today! I love you! We must cheer you up more! I still haven't baked your birthday cake.
I'm a horrible wifey! I love you, though, and I'll get that and the taxes done soon! ^^
