It is now time for fans to get to know the Collins family. My contribution to Around The Way Girls 5 anthology from Urban Books, is titled, Keepin' It In The Family.
This tale of three sisters being pimped out by their father originates from the short story “Keepin’ It In The Family” featured in the urban fiction anthology, Around The Way Girls 5 from Urban Books. Instead of this ruthless father protecting his three little girls from the horny neighborhood boys, he held them up for auction and pocketed every dime. Diamond, Essence and Chanel have been turning tricks for ten years and have become accustomed to the mansion on a golf course, luxury cars and genuine Coach bags. Now at ages twenty, twenty-one and twenty-two, the sisters have begun dreaming of a different way of life. Dallas knows that without the income from his mock escort service, he may find himself back in the belly of the ghetto that he clawed himself out of after taking custody of his own seeds. The sisters know that Dallas will not allow them to abandon his brothel without a fight and prepare themselves for battle but when Chanel’s secret love affair results in an unplanned pregnancy and Diamond is left traumatized by a disgruntled customer, Essence vows to protect her sisters and decides to take Dallas head on. The first quarter of play leave Dallas in a daze but he shakes it off and continues to stand his ground. The strong willed Essence warns Dallas that all Around the Way Girls ride till they die. By the end of the fourth quarter, the score is tied, there are ten seconds left on the clock, it’s first and goal and Essence has the ball.
