Gargamella borns into the woods of Maremma, in 1996. The project takes inspiration from the ancient music of the middle age. The work of Gargamella has not a philological intent. It wants only to be evocative. Instruments played are modern and very various. Some melodies are taken from the european tradition (France, Spain, Italy and others), but the big part is original music.
Now the new album "Teta Velata" is ready to be listened.
Gargamella nasce nei boschi dell'alta Maremma nel 1996. Il progetto prende ispirazione dalla musica antica dell'epoca medioevale. Il lavoro dei Gargamella non ha un intento filologico. Esso vuole essere solamente evocativo. Gli strumenti suonati sono moderni e i più disparati. Alcune melodie sono riprese dalla tradizione europea (Francia,Spagna,Italia e altri), ma la gran parte è musica originale. Ora il nuovo album "Teta Velata" è pronto per essere ascoltato. L'uscita è prevista per il 6 gennaio 2012.
